At Hanin Dental, we use an iTero Impression Scanner to plan your Invisalign treatment. This state of the art scanner allows us to give you an idea of what your results will look like once your treatment is complete.
What is iTero?
The iTero Element Impression Scanner is an intraoral camera that allows us to capture highly accurate 3D impressions of your bite. With the help of iTero, we can make adjustments to treatment in real time, store data digitally, and show you what your Invisalign results will look like at the outset of treatment.
How does it work?
iTero scans each quadrant of your jaw, with an ergonomically designed scanning wand that makes this process very comfortable for the patient, and easy for the dentist, too.
iTero captures whole tooth images for an extremely accurate scan, resulting in better fitting Invisalign aligners.
After the quadrant scan, we will also perform a full bite scan so that the we can get an accurate idea of the nature of your malocclusion. The complete model is then sent to Align Technologies so that your unique aligners can be created.
With an iTero scan, we can use the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to create a simulation of how your teeth will look at the conclusion of Invisalign treatment.
